Sounds bizarre, but you are able to do all those things I mentioned on YouTube. Not just all of that, if I can pick a simple word to describe what you can access on Youtube, it would be ‘Everything’. According to YouTube press statistic, over 3 billion videos are viewed each day on YouTube and there is 48 hours of video uploaded every minute t

o YouTube. How YouTube can be that strong? It seems that all internet surfers are glued to that website. What makes YouTube so popular and has a power to affect its users?

The main secret of YouTube’s strength and popularity is on its flexibility that provides its users an opportunity to create their own video in terms of music, short film, tutorials, and any other themes. A user just need to sign up, create their own channel, and done, they can upload their videos and it has an opportunity to reach an audience for millions. Not forget to mention that it’s all free!

According to several measures such as video views and search activity, music is the most common content on YouTube. Many of young audience share their taste and ability in music by re-use original music by popular artists to create their own video and music. And again, by using the sharing feature on YouTube which makes the video accessible to watch on another websites, their videos may reach thousands and millions of viewers and can be found among any popular music videos.

YouTube has a new creative class. While it is so hard to be famous,

you can be famous in a quick time by uploading your creative videos on YouTube. For example, sixteen-year-old Lucas Cruikshank has been uploading videos of himself exposing a lonely kid about five years and he has a total of 453 million views. The point is, if you share your creativeness, craziness, uniqueness on YouTube, one day you will wake up and shock that you are famous.

There are many aspects of what makes YouTube so powerful in social media. It is mainly because of the flexibility that YouTube provides to its user which makes them free to upload anything even create their own businesses when they are already famous. Both sides, YouTube and its users are getting a lot of benefits.

YouTube is uncharted territory for mainstream media companies, which are only now beginning to appreciate the significance of a epochal shift from a system they controlled to one, in many ways, controlled by viewers, listeners and readers (Cole et al., 2012).
